I'm Camiel Schroeder, a junior at Middlebury College studying Economic and Environmental Policy. Driven by my passion for maximizing positive impact, I founded and led the Middlebury Effective Altruism group, where I organized workshops, reading groups, and retreats that significantly strengthened the campus's EA community. I've also facilitated trips to global EA conferences, connecting members with leading thinkers and ideas in the movement. Alongside my EA work, I have diverse international experience, including negotiating a $450k property development deal in Cape Town and raising $4,000 for the Against Malaria Foundation through a creative fundraising campaign that set a Guinness World Record. I’m fluent in English, Dutch, and French, with skills in data analytics and financial modeling, always eager to leverage my abilities to drive meaningful change.
