Discuto is a free, nonpartisan place to learn how to argue well, practice with an AI coach that gives feedback only on your own reasoning, and then discuss real topics organized by stance, with cited evidence and steelmans. The AI never ranks or judges anyone else. That's the bet: AI that makes people better independent thinkers instead of thinking for them.
We're early and honest about it: we launched in May, usage is small, and we're all volunteers. The $1,000 minimum keeps the app running reliably off free tiers for a year; more funds AI coaching and local outreach. Funds go to our fiscal sponsor, Mediators Foundation (501(c)(3)).
