Project summary

We are looking to build 20 stables with walk in and out camps to house new arrivals and medical emergency horses.

We have been offered already built stables for R3000 a stable however these will then need to be transported to us and repaired/upgraded where needed

What are this project's goals? How will you achieve them?

These stables will offer a safe space for horses in need to settle in and learn to trust humans again. Once our quarantine horses have been evaluated and are eating, drinking and showing no illness they will be moved into large herd camps where they will be allowed to interact with other horses.

How will this funding be used?

Funding will be purely used to purchase, transport, refurbish and erect the stables on our property.

Who is on your team? What's your track record on similar projects?

Kaylee and myself run have a heart with our 4 staff members who are in charge of feeding of the animals and farm maintenance.

We have previously built our own stables block on a previous property

What are the most likely causes and outcomes if this project fails?

If we are unable to secure the stables, we will continue as we have been up till now, with new horses being released into a suitable herd camp on arrival

How much money have you raised in the last 12 months, and from where?

We raise on average about R500,000 a year from adoptions, donations and my personal inheritance
