In reality, the core idea is quite simple.
Artificial intelligences are becoming increasingly capable. They can now remember things, use tools, handle complex tasks, and gradually become much more autonomous.
But there is a problem: the more capable they become, the more important it is to understand what they are doing, why they are doing it, what they have learned, and the limits placed on their actions.
That is primarily what I am working on.
I am building a set of systems that allow an AI to be useful, to improve, and to maintain continuity—all while remaining observable and without it silently taking over the decision-making process.
"Cordée" is the visible part—the interface a person can interact with. Behind it, I am building the mechanisms to track activity, verify system consistency, and maintain clear boundaries.
This isn't just a hypothetical idea. There are already years of work behind it, including functional software, applications, servers, and systems that I am actively testing. I don’t yet know how far this will go or if it will ever become a major company. I don’t want to present this as if success is guaranteed, because it isn’t.
But I know why I am working on it.
I believe that the question of how to build powerful AIs—without losing the ability to understand them or keep humans in control of their own decisions—is going to become extremely important.
