I think the political side of AI safety is generally undervalued and underfunded and AIPN is doing really important work! I am impressed with the progress they have made so far, especially in getting members of Congress to take more seriously the prospect of catastrophic risks from AI.

I think that this kind of work on building public awareness of AI Safety is important, and Michael has good experience on this from the SB1047 documentary. I have some qualms still about whether $100K/year is the right target number for being paid to do this, but on balance I'm happy to contribute a small amount

Thanks for sharing! My other question is how much time you're spending on this a week? Is the TikTok + YouTube stuff roughly a full-time job at the moment?
