We desperately need spaces for the public and policy-makers to engage with the risks and benefits of advanced AI. While many online resources exist, these lack the social and physical components that a museum can provide. Social learning via spaces like museums is a critical component of fostering informed public discourse.
Plus, the learnings that will come from building such a museum can be used to create other such spaces around the world and allow rapid iteration on how to effectively communicate with those living outside the AI capabilities and safety bubbles.
I've known Justin for a few years now. He's been heavily involved in AI safety, and this project has a chance of positively impacting societal discourse on AI, so I fully support it.
