Max is a co-founder of SI. Together with Konrad, he develops our strategy, designs programs, builds products, and nourishes SI’s ecosystem.

Previously, Max was a senior science-policy officer at the Geneva Science-Policy Interface and a researcher at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies. He also co-founded the Social Complexity Lab Geneva and Effective Altruism Geneva, where he now serves on the board.

Max studied international relations at the University of Geneva and computational math at Johns Hopkins University with a particular interest in evidence-informed policymaking, risk governance, and decision-making under uncertainty.
